Hiring electric

Want to go electric when it suits you?

We’re introducing a range of cheap, flexible ways to hire an EV or electric bike, with something for everyone. Here’s our electric dream:

  • Take the kids out for the day or do a local shop with an eCargo bike.

  • Join an eCar club if you need to make a longer journey.

  • Pop out on an eBike or eScooter for a meal with friends.

Coming to an eHUB near you...

This autumn Greater Manchester is launching trial eHUBS to make it easy and affordable for local people to go electric. They’ll offer around 12 electric car club vehicles and 25 eCargo bikes which you can hire for as little as an hour.

Hire an electric Bee bike from this November

Greater Manchester's first publicly operated, self-service, 24/7 cycle hire scheme is set to launch in November 2021. At first there'll be 1,500 cycles in the fleet - including eBikes - at more than 200 new docking stations across Manchester, Trafford and Salford.

Scoot on over

Fancy a scoot? Rochdale and Salford have joined the Department for Transport’s trial eScooter schemes run by Lime Scooters. So if you’re in the neighbourhood, just download the Lime app to find a scooter near you.

Book it, pick it up and get scooting. It’s just £1 to unlock the scooter and 15p a minute after that. Day passes are also available for £11.99, and an unlimited monthly pass for £8.99. Anyone who’s over 18 and holds a provisional driving licence can hire a scooter.
